HDMI Audio Extractor HDMI to HDMI Optical TOSLINK SPDIF + 3.5mm Stereo Extractor Converter HDMI Audio Splitter Adapter

About

  • Audio Extraction: Separates audio from HDMI input and converts it into optical (SPDIF) and analog L/R stereo RCA outputs.
  • Three Audio EDID Settings:
    • 2CH Mode: Outputs 2-channel analog stereo. The extractor converts digital 2CH PCM audio from HDMI into 2CH analog stereo through the RCA L/R port.
    • 5.1CH Mode: Outputs 5.1 digital surround sound. The SPDIF optical port supports audio formats up to 5.1CH Dolby Digital and DTS.
    • PASS Mode: Supports 5.1/7.1CH PCM, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and higher. Set the EDID to PASS and connect the HDMI output directly to your receiver.

Package Contents:

  • 1 x HDMI Audio Extractor
  • 1 x Power Adapter
  • 1 x USB Cable
  • 1 x User Manual

Troubleshooting Tips:

  • Switch EDID Button: If you experience no sound, toggle the EDID audio switch between 2CH, 5.1CH, or PASS modes to find the correct setting.
  • Turn Off Dolby Digital Plus: SPDIF (TOSLINK) does not support Dolby Digital Plus. Disable this function on your input devices:
    • For Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick: Go to Settings > Display & Sound > Audio > Dolby Digital Output > Turn Dolby Digital Plus off.
    • For Chromecast: Disable Dolby Digital Plus on the video source being played through the Chromecast.
  • Avoid HDMI to DVI or HDMI to VGA Cables: These cables may cause audio issues. For best results, use an HDMI to HDMI cable for both video and audio output.

Note: The HDMI Audio Extractor is designed to separate audio from HDMI signals but does not improve video quality.
