Troubleshooting Tips:
- Switch EDID Button: If you experience no sound, toggle the EDID audio switch between 2CH, 5.1CH, or PASS modes to find the correct setting.
- Turn Off Dolby Digital Plus: SPDIF (TOSLINK) does not support Dolby Digital Plus. Disable this function on your input devices:
- For Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick: Go to Settings > Display & Sound > Audio > Dolby Digital Output > Turn Dolby Digital Plus off.
- For Chromecast: Disable Dolby Digital Plus on the video source being played through the Chromecast.
- Avoid HDMI to DVI or HDMI to VGA Cables: These cables may cause audio issues. For best results, use an HDMI to HDMI cable for both video and audio output.
Note: The HDMI Audio Extractor is designed to separate audio from HDMI signals but does not improve video quality.
